review 1: this is a short novel and i read it bc i have a love affair with all things Irish (and Scottish) and a particular fondness for Irish men. any contemporary romance novel that features one, I will pick up. i really loved this one mainly bc it's a very sweet (and hot) love story fairy tale. the Irish countryside is featured and i loved how Connor's accent was noticible through the choice of dialect Cara used. it was easy to imagine how he sounded to Jamie. it brought back a lot of memories from my own travels. and without sharing spoilers on the ending: i found it refreshing for the fact that it didn't lean towards the conventional choice.
review 2: Fun, flirty, sweet short story set in Ireland what's not to like? Add a hot bartending Irish guy I'm in. Serio... moreusly I seem to love the books set in the Ireland and oh those yummy heroes with an accent. The sense of adventure and living it up was not hard to get along with, direct but delivered with good feeling and humor makes a great combo. I enjoyed this one a lot, felt fresh and easy to get into. I like Cara McKenna's writing style fluid and simple but you get into it and there characters are likeable. Will read up on her other stuff. less
