review 1: I will start this by warning that this is a BDSM story with a strong Domination/submission plot. There is also several scene where a secondary character spanks the heroine. There isn't any sex between the these two character though. While Ms. Silverwood isn't in the league of Cherise Sinclair or Joey W. Hill, she has a great deal of optional and I would definitely read other books written by this author. Good BDSM authors are very hard to find and I am always looking for more. This is a steampunk novel. This is the first of this genre that I have read and I enjoyed it very much. I thought there was quite a bit of imagination displayed throughout the story. The story is a take on the Frankenstein constructs. I would like to see other books featuring the secondary c... moreharacters. I was very intrigue by the world building and some mentions of archaeological digs that hinted back to this earth. I was a little disappointed that the author didn't elaborate on this a little more. I also think that the president and Dankyo would make great addition story lines. Overall this is a good story and well worth the time.
review 2: This book was a great journey into the Steampunk genre, with some very erotic BDSM moments. I bought this book to read the background behind Lust Plague and was thrilled. It sets of the dynamics of the world and introduces you to characters you grow to care about. The dynamics between humans and frankenstructs is interesting and I am looking forward to seeing how this series continues. Hot sex scenes with BDSM elements prevail and nothing is better than that! less
