review 1: I found this book randomly on book-outlet. I had expected a psyche/paranormal/ horror story and it did include those elements. However, it was a little bit of a letdown. Within the first few pages we already have an insta-romance *sigh*. Besides the main character, there wasn't enough character build up. Overall,it kept me entertained and the "antagonist" (paranormal aspect) was CREEPY. The author did an excellent job with the description.
review 2: This book contains enough paranoia and weirdness to keep the reader interested and also a good mix of romance and family drama. Nell and Sophie are sisters who share a secret...they hear murmurs and that is the demise of Nell. Sophie struggles with guilt surrounding Nell's death while trying to survive with her out
... more-of-touch mother and fear of the murmurs taken over her. In steps Evan, with family secrets of his own. Can they uncover the truth behind Nell's death? Will it destroy Sophie to find out? And what is with Oakdale Mental Institute? less

The story is highly original, and kept me turning pages to see what would happen next. Great!

Just the right amount of eeriness and spookiness to be interesting but not too scary

I thought this book was really good, but I felt it needed a little something.
