review 1: Not a bad read for its genre. I enjoyed Crane's Dissilusionist trilogy so I picked this one up. It's second in a series, but I didn't feel like I missed anything by not having read the first. The storyline is a bit transparent, there were no real surprises. The heroine has periods of great stupidity and smackability. The hero has a bit of a god complex and appears to have super human endurance given the beatings he takes, his lack of sleep and his ability to have sex with broken ribs.It was a fun read. I enjoyed it.
review 2: Book 2 in the Associates series was good. I liked it much more than book 1. The hero was a bit unusual. He was a linguistics expert with a tortured past. The heroine was a wife to a criminal and gave evidence against him. She's on th
... moree run from him.The sex scenes were hot. They were unique too. The things he said, the things he asked her to do. Nothing weird just different. The suspense was heart pounding. How will they get out of this? I really liked it. I look forward to the next book in this series, but I want the boss' book, Dax, the most. less
