review 1: A sweet addition to the series. This one has more action as Ciaran’s past catches up with him. I loved that Ciaran is tough and strong and loves Drew as much as Drew loves him. So great that they had to be strong enough to save each other. Loved how their relationship grew to an even deeper level of love and commitment. The secondary characters, Janie and Nick, were good for the story. I very much hope to see more of Nick in future stories.
review 2: In this second book in the Outcasts series, we get to see Ciaran and Drew lead their new lives together, tempered by a threat from old enemies, help from new allies and answers from unexpected sources. The first half of the book dragged a little, maybe because it was mostly Ciaran and Drew on their own with
... more not a lot happening. Even if it was sweet watching them together. Then in the second half it picked up with the demon hunters coming back and a few new characters being introduced. I especially liked Nick, the rogue wolf, and would be happy to get his story someday. I was also glad to see Ciaran get closure on his past and Drew get some on his future. While Drew is a werewolf, he isn’t overbearing or full of dominant posturing. He’s calm, protective and the perfect mate for Ciaran. Ciaran, no matter what goes wrong isn’t prone to drama or simpering. It’s lovely to see how curious he is about life and how he’s just as protective of Drew. They’re both great characters. less

This feels like the second half of the first book. Sweet and satisfying.
