review 1: Thid is the third and possibly final book in the Hope Cove series. In this book we get a better look into the life of flamboyant and proud Haydn Prescott. Haydn is a friend to everyone I the previous series and. co-owner of the bakery Maggie's with best friend Oliver. One night Haydn decides to go clubbing with wingmen Lucas & Oliver at his side. While dancing his ass off his eyes make contact with a handsome stranger at the bar. The two after a kissing session/ blow-job in the parking lot go to a really nice hotel and have unbelievable sex. Both men decide it's just hot and wonderful sex, nothing more. A month goes by and Haydn still thinks of his hot encounter with Travis (his sex partner's name) but neither man got a number. On a very busy day at Maggie's an order is... more given that the cashier is unsure they can make. The cashier calls for Haydn's assistance and who should Haydn encounter but Travis. Only Travis isn't alone, he is with his daughter, Violet and a beautiful woman who Haydn assumes is his wife. Travis seems stun and after the shock places an order for cupcakes for his daughter's class party. An angry Haydn accepts the job and delivers the cupcakes. After learning from Violet that their last name is Ryan and liking the little girl Haydn leaves the school. Haydn vows not to go near Travis again, but we know that won't happen. Travis returns to the bakery to explain everything and that he does. We learn that Travis is a single father who has custody of Violet and his sister is helping to raise her. We see the me having another hot sexual encounter. We find the two men getting closer. And Haydn being afraid of a serious relationship. We also learn more about Haydn's background and the reason behind his fear of commitment. I won't say what else happens. This is a delightful series and I cross my fingers that this isn't the end. I love the residents of Hope Cove, and I hope Ms. Ashwood will return soon!
review 2: REVIEWED FOR PRISM BOOK ALLIANCEStory 4.5Narration 4.5For months Haydn has been watching his friends fall in love and settle down. He is positive THAT is not for him. Too much drama for a party boy who likes to go out and choose his one night stands from the selection on offer.When he has an amazing and incredibly hot one night stand he can’t get the guy out of his mind but when the very same guy comes into the bakery he nearly swallows his tongue. Standing there with a woman and a small child who calls him daddy is too much of a shock for Haydn and he immediately goes on the defensive.With misunderstandings out of the way Haydn and the hottie who is Trevor have a couple more hot nights together and start spending time getting to know each other. Trevor is very adept at reading Haydn and quickly realises how skittish he is when it comes to relationships or any perceived commitment. Instead of going all out to get what he wants from Haydn he takes it very slowly and integrates him into his and his daughter’s life without him even noticing.This is a slow burn love story without too much angst. Haydn reflects on relationships from his childhood and is more than a little bit scared to open himself up. He fears heartbreak and all the complications from when something goes wrong, not really opening himself up to the idea that sometimes things can go right. Trevor is very patient with him and coaxes him into the idea that not all love is bad.When Haydn is given a sharp jolt and he thinks he has lost Trevor he realises he may not be as immune to falling in love as he first thought!NarrationWhat can I say? As with the previous two books in this series John Orr did a perfect job! less
