review 1: I really like Catherine's books. But, this one fell short. (And I'm not just talking about because it's a very short story.) Lauren has a way with people who are grieving. When she ends up being able to see ghosts, it helps make her job a little bit easier. Except when one of them becomes "Possessive" of her. She has a very strong attraction to one of the doctors that she works with. (Ethan.) Actually they both have a very strong attraction towards each other. Things start to heat up between Lauren and Ethan as well as the spirit attached to Lauren. But will Lauren be able to survive the violence of the entity? Will Ethan be able to help her? Will they both survive it together? These are questions that you have when you start to read the book. However, within 1 t... moreo 2 hours you know everything. It is a very short read. But that's not really the problem. It had a decent build up for the story, but there just wasn't enough body to carry it through. The majority of the parts with Lauren and Ethan were easily expected. The ghost part of it wasn't built up enough to give you the excitement or anxiety that you normally would get when reading a story about spirits and such. However, it was still a decent enough read.As for recommending at: As I mentioned, it was a decent read and slightly entertaining. However, if you're expecting to have any nail biting moments, or suspense, or anything like that, you might want to skip this read because you may be disappointed.
review 2: Possesive was a sexy and suspenseful story that captured my attention from the beginning. It contained supernatural element since the heroine is a "ghost" whisperer who helps the dying cross over to the other side. The twist here is that Lauren is being haunted by a ghost who wants to possess her and things escalate and becomes more violent as she embarks on a relationship with Ethan. As their relationship gets more serious, they need help to exorcise the ghost in order to get a happy ending. I loved that Ethan and Lauren took things slowly and their dates were romantic and the build-up to making love had me swooning. The story had just the right amount of romance and excitement to satisfy my romantic suspense addiction. less

It just feels there is a missing element in this story which prevented me really enjoying it.
