review 1: Very rarely do the last 50 pages or so of a novel change my mind about the entire thing. This one did. I had an extremely difficult time getting into this book it seemed like by page 200 or so there was still groundwork being laid for the story. I continued on since, for me, a book has to be just terrible to stop reading before the end. I'm glad I finished it. The ending made the whole book worthwhile.
