review 1: I like the female character, Tess, because she was refreshing and enjoyable. other than her the story line was overused and a bit dry. The book wasn't entirely bad the main reason I didn't like the book that much was because Ms. Williams has the tendency to tell us what the characters are doing rather than show us. I was intrigued as to how Tess would approach and "bond" with Matt's daughter. I was sorely disappointed when the author told us they bonded over clothes. Not the worse book I have read but certainly not the best.
review 2: Such a fun book! Tess is quirky, emotional, and enjoys life to its fullest. She has a positive outlook on love and life and she is filled with compassion. She is a free spirit, sweet, wears her heart on her sleeve and has a heart
... moreof gold!Matt on the other hand is a control freak. He is a single dad. He is powerful, calm, and sinfully seductive. He makes it clear he’s very attracted to her but he’s not marriage material. He doesn't believe in true love and soul-mates. Which doesn't stop him from wanting, not just Tess's body but also the warmth she brings to every room. The chemistry between the two is so incredible that it makes you want a relationship like that too. Matt was fantastic. I loved how protective and possessive he was of Tess when he thought she would be moving on. He cherished and truly loved her but he was so in denial poor guy! A very sweet and funny read with lots of tenderness. The ending was adorable!! less
