review 1: This started out cute, got muddled in the middle, and was brought to a clumsy finish by ripping off Austen. A co-write needs more than the usual number edits - not less. Plus, it leaves the way open for double in-jokes - you know, the part that makes ABSOLUTE SENSE in your head until someone else says, "WTF?" If that someone else is your co-writer, you can explain it and it's all gravy ... except for the poor reader. It had potential, to be fair. To be fair, it didn't fulfill it.
review 2: LOVED!!!Oh my gosh, I have no idea why it's taken me sooooooooooooooooo long to read this one!!It was soo fun and cute and FUNNNY!! There were so many parts to this book that made me laugh! I wish I was there to witness it all. This High School is really funny!Of course Jack ... moreis awesome and sweet, but he's really closed off and he's the type you have to drag things out of. He's also the type to hold on to, to support, because he thinks he's not good enough. Kinda irritates me, because it's very close to self-pitying (If that's spelled wrong, sorry!) and I hate self-pity, when it goes on and on and on!I thought that this would be another love-triangle thing, with Todd as well. How glad was I to be wrong! Todd is an awesome friend!!Moni, well she should have known. I was always suspicious, and continue to be suspicious of guys that don't notice and then suddenly do. Moni should have trusted Bethany, that is what best friends are for.I Shelia, the cheerleading coach. I suspect she was a wannabe cheerleader in high school who was also teased. Or she was a kind cheerleader who didn't put up with any sorts of bullying!Oooh ooh! And Can't you write a story about Andrew?? When he's a senior or junior?? That would be sooooo awesome, to see that he's grown into a hottie and is still sweet and kind?? less
