review 1: I was a little nervous about reading this book given the last several entries in the series. However, I have to admit, that I was pleasantly surprised and found the book generally good and even better than the last few written by Charlaine Harris herself. I wondered with each new tale like those of Quinn, Mustapha Khan, Kenya and others, if maybe the salvation of the Sookie-verse all along was letting other authors have their way with the characters. I wouldn't mind staying in this universe as long as the set up was still the same: Charlaine editing and other authors doing the writing. I thought, well, since Charlaine isn't writing the stories, maybe they will actually be better than the last several Sookie books. Man, was I wrong. Very uneven, a few just horrible. A few of them made me wonder if the contributing authors had even *read* the original source material. No thanks. I didn't even get through it, returned it and got my credit back. I can under no circumstances recommend that anyone bother with this. less

This was a fun freebie from audible. I love hearing more about Skookie.
