review 1: This book was the perfect introduction to the Sookie Stackhouse novels, I'll definitely be picked up the first book in the series as I enjoyed this so much. The short stories featured were just the right length, not so short as to leave parts out but not too long that they became tedious.The writing was superb, and Sookie's southern mannerisms were utterly charming, I loved her as a character and so can't wait to read more about her.
review 2: I was hoping these short stories would have extra information to help bridge the books, but no. Fairy Dust only explained the twins were actually triplets and showed Claude's contempt for humans. Dracula Night was an attempt at showing Eric's humanity, but it only showed him as even more ridiculous. One Word Answer was a ... morebit better since it did give more information about Hadley and her demise. Lucky was pointless other than to show Amelia's power as a witch. Gift Wrap was pretty cool. That was one hell of a Christmas gift from Skokie's great grandfather lol less
