review 1: loved them but the last three are the bestalthough this athur puts herself in the shoes of Sookie i believe she wishes to be Sookie due to the fact the sex scenes are sometimes strange and yet the 24-28yr old women has traits of a 45 year old women when it comes to cooking extBetter then the show if u are a fan of the show stick with these books. I read the first book last cause i started reading after season 1 of the show. Start with book one cause there are some differences in the book not many in the first one then the show. The first 3 are close to the series but the rest are not and are worth reading if you cant get enough true blood. A lot of great stories book 5 is a filer and 6 is just ok. The rest are fun and enjoyable and at time I wish I could escape real life ... moreand live hers.........................These books are books that if you like them are easy reads and you cant put them down... Especially the last 3 that were released. I even suggest her short stories.
review 2: I wasn't too sure if these books were for me when I started the first book of the series. As I continued on, I got hooked! These books are exciting and fun, and I'm so glad I gave them a chance. I am about to start book 6, and I just started reading these last week. It's hard to put them down. After I finish them all, I will check out the Trublood series that is based on these books. I'm interested to know how close they stay to the books.My favorite book has to be #4 Dead to the World. Eric loses his memory, and there are some great moments in this book... especially the unbelievable shower scene. less
