review 1: I guess it was quite surprising for me to find out that none of the main characters actually told their story to the reader. Of course the narrator is part of a story, but he's still a little aside. I liked this fact though. I liked when he was drawn away from an actual situation and started to thing about relationship, perfection, affection, desire and lie. It's an usual story in many ways, but I would recommend it to everybody who loves being guided thought someone's life. There are lots of great thoughts in there. Definitely a good book!
review 2: A superb read! Reminiscent of the haunting narrator's voice in "Gatsby", Dubow's Walter leads us through a labyrinth of memory, wonder, reflection and resignation. Too complex to be labeled as any one kind of novel
... more, "indiscretion" brings multiple themes and multiple messages to the reader...mining its depths was both pleasure and pain...reading it, then, the perfect metaphor for the book itself. Do not miss it! less
