review 1: If only economics was taught with this much humor and genuine enthusiasm...I may have decided to major in business. This is a tremendously well-written book, whether you agree with all of Wheelan's conclusions or not. The segment on sweat shops is perhaps the most debatable, but even it is well-argued and thought-provoking. There is much to be learned from this book, no matter your political leaning.

Wheelan's wit and charm come across even more in this book, touching on major aspects of general economics and putting them in terms even a casual reader will understand and enjoy.
