review 1: I am seriously devouring this series. This one was not my fave only because I felt a little distant and aloof from the characters. I did love how the bad guys info is slowly coming out and how different shifters are and how similar to humans. Lots of sex, perhaps sacrificing a little more depth with plot and history that would be welcomed. I still want to know what the shifters who've been alive for 100+ years think - I mean they've lived through many wars, seen major changes, etc yet it never reflects in how they live their lives. That's my only criticism really - that part seems undeveloped and quite rich for mining stories that will really fully flesh out this world. Otherwise just like Peanut M&M's which I can never eat just one of :)

... morey that Ailean is probably my least favorite shifter. He kind of acts like an asshole to almost everyone human and he isn't even that nice to other shifters. Luckily, his mate Drake is smart and nice and ultimately forgiving since Ailean treats him pretty badly in this story. We do get the beginnings of a resolution on the cliffhanger from Book 3, but nothing is certain at all. I'll be interested to see what happens. less

Ths one seems like plot filler for what's coming in the rest of the series.
