review 1: Three and half stars. If the blurb sound like something you'd like then you will likely enjoy the story. For such a small page count, the author did a great job at telling a complete story.The only part that was really rushed was the sexual relationship. This isn't so much a a GFY as a now totally gay (or maybe bi) triggered by you since the formerly "straight" character started noticing men in general which was a nice switch up from the ever popular no other man but you trope.There is a bit of cheesy melodrama involving an ex and of course the only adult female is a raging bitch, which is par for the course. And as usual for these type of stories, public displays of affection were a huge issue seconds after the relationship began because we all know how common it is for ... moregay men to be demonstrative in public. So nothing ground breaking here, but still amusing.
review 2: This was an easy, light read and I enjoyed the simplicity of the story. I really liked Jake and pretty much guessed what was up with him with his easy going attitude towards his dad possibly having a boyfriend. This wasn't too heavy on the sex but it would have been great to read about Carl's first time bottoming. I was surprised the ex-wife didn't make an appearance sooner in the story. Will definitely continue on with the series. less
