review 1: This is one of the best cookbooks I have ever owned. There are far to many recipes to gush over, but I will recommend the Iced Blueberries in Sweet Cream (Makes a fantastic dessert for a brunch), the Aurochs Roasted with Leeks (I used Prime Rib instead) served with Onions in Gravy was absolutely delicious, and both the Sister's Stew and the Modern Beef and Bacon Pie were amazing. There were some disappointments, however. The Bowls of Brown weren't as tasty as I would have expected, and the turnips in Butter were 'meh' at best. Over all though, this is an incredible cookbook that I know I will continue to use well after Game Of Thrones has left our TV screens and our love for the Seven Kingdoms has returned to the printed page were it all began.
review 2: I
... morebought this for my mother and I because I'm a huge fan of A Song of Ice and Fire and because she is a huge fan of cooking. It's fantastic, from Martin's warm and insightful introduction to the delicious and holistic list of foods featured in the books (I particularly enjoyed the excerpts of the relevant book passages before each entry). A must for any fan of Song, especially since food is featured as such a prominent theme in GRRM's writing. less

I'm a fan even if most of the recipes are pretty hard to recreate
