review 1: Someone I love very much has been suffering, and I have often found myself in a "waiting place", waiting on God to answer my prayers. As Dr. Seuss best describes such a waiting place...You can get so confusedthat you’ll start in to racedown long wiggled roadsat a break-necking paceand grind on for milesacross weirdish wild space, headed, I fear, toward a most useless place. The Waiting Place . . .(Dr. Seuss, Oh, the Places You’ll Go!)Waiting on God by Cherie Hill explains the despair of the waiting place, and how God uses it for ultimate good. This is a short read that repeats ideas often. I think it could have really been an essay, however, I found this book inspiring, but more importantly faith-building.
review 2: The best Christian book I have read in a lo
... moreng time. It's my favorite and I'm sure it will be for years to come. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is hurting and waiting on God. I've already read it through a half dozen times. I've been blessed by it each time I've read it. It's awesome. Cherie doesn't give trite, pat answers to life's problems, but gives real answers from scripture. This book would make an excellent gift as well. less
