review 1: Cheryl Brooks newest offering to the wonderful world of the Cat Star Chronicles is Wildcat. Take a journey to mystical worlds featuring unusual terrain and even more colorful inhabitants. The stallion’s intriguing owner shows up demanding he return the horse awaking in him to desire to live again.Add into the mix, a competitor who doesn’t want Sara to have her prized stallion to improve her stock. Sara also fights the attentions of her neighbor, who she neither encourages nor likes. It all seems a bit suspicious to her, troublesome too, since she finds herself drawn to her mysterious neighbor creating an uncomfortable love triangle.Wildcat creates a world similar to Earth on Terra Minor with a few exceptions as far as animals and plant species. Terra Minor is the host for many different refugees making the planet a delightful mix of suspense, romance and even humor. The relationship between Sara Shield and Jergen is probably the best in the Cat Star series so far. That is saying a great deal since there have been many sizzling pairings in previous Cat Star books.Wildcat is Ms. Brooks best book to date. If you are looking for a sensual romance with a touch of the exotic, plus a walk on the wild side, then Wildcat is your book.
review 2: First I would like to say that this is my first book in the -Cat Star Chronicles-series but after ready this book I will be putting the rest on my list-I downloaded this book from NetGalley not really familiar with the series. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the book was written and the Character development of participants .Not having read the other book no way took away the fantastic story Ms.Brooks crafted. So if like me start at number 9 and work your way back-or start at 1 and go forward- A little about the book- Sara Shield raises horses on a distance plant -our perfect girl next door who has a history of bad relationships. Our shifter is a Zetithian named Jerden who once owned a brothel and is one of the great lover. Not a perfect match but Ms.Brooks is able to take that starting point and craft a great book. Wildcat is a tender love story-a fun and passionate rump but most of all a story of two wounded souls finding each other. less
