review 1: This book was on a list of recommended books about Berlin put together by the UK's Guardian. I enjoyed it as a very lyrical character study of both the city and the book's protagonist, Tatiana. So much of what is written about Berlin is historical around WWII. I wanted something that spoke to the modern city. It was a quick read that provided the gestalt of the place which was helpful to have in advance of arriving there.
review 2: I really liked this book, whose other character is Berlin.
