review 1: Really great book with a tortured alpha-male. A bit of angst and steamy scenes and an HEA! The heroine, accidentally, walks in on a 'purchase'. And she gets bought. All very interesting. A terrific concept with super writing that has you turning pages like it's your job. A book ever they are no holes, no guessing for the reader. This author trusts the reader to make certain deductions without all the over the top explanations! A definite recommendation!!!
review 2: I read through this one pretty fast, which should lend to it being good, and yet it was just ok for me. There were some issues I could get past, like the way Stella came to be with the sheik, the fact that this is one really long weekend, and that nothing goes on during the vast amount of daytime... more hours on @2 days and there is no accounting for it. I liked the build up to what would be their ultimate encounter, and then it was like the most vanilla thing ever. I felt unfulfilled by it. And then the "misunderstanding" was a bit too much to believe in, and the end just ended. Almost in mid paragraph. I felt robbed of a scene or something. I think I would have rather there had been an epilogue, or maybe book 2 deals with their furthering the relationship. I feel like there is alot of mateial she could have covered with these two characters. His being a confident Dom and her being new to the lifestyle opens up a world of possibilities. And maybe they do make cameo appearances in subsequent books, I don't know. Seeing how there is a book on Roman and Lola and we hardly know anything about them from this book, I highly doubt it. So overall it was an ok read, passed the time, but doesn't make me want to involve myself with the series. less
