review 1: 5 thoughts I had while reading and after I read this book-Ethan Sullivan, I can't imagine him, much less see him as Merit's other half. He is manipulative, his intentions are unclear, his actions are deceitful, I do not trust him and I do not like him. The author tries to make him look as a deep character, one that hides much more that what he lets everybody see, and that might be true, but his actions and words leave much to be desired for the male lead character.This is only the second book, I hope I can change the way I see him.-Merit, she procrastinates too much with things that are really important, things that is not okay to put aside until something happens that will make her deal with it. And let's be clear, I'm not saying it's wrong of her to do it, but she runs ... moreaway from things that actually represent a problem for her, things that will make her think about what she wants and where she is going and that will make her feel something, like her fight with Mallory or her relationship with Morgan. It's her way of running away from her problems and it was frustrating. -Another thing, Merit and Mallory's friendship has me worried. Why? Because Merit herself says she feels there is a barrier between them now. And does she do something to fix it? to try and talk with her friend to solve it? Nothing, zero, nada. -Morgan, I like him, and I really hope he is not involved with Celina's plan to rule the world or whatever it is that she wants now. And to be clear, I think he, so far, has been a better potential love interest to Merit that Ethan. I liked that he put their relationship and Merit's feelings on the line in this book. Not at the best moment, but at least he did it when it was obvious Merit wouldn't do it. Now let's hope he does not have a hidden agenda of his own. -Merit and Ethan's relationship or whatever it is that they have. As I said, I do not trust him and I certainly don't like the way Merit seems so focused on him that she forgets her friends and possible boyfriend. I hope to be imaging things, but so far he has only manipulated Merit without actually showing that he feels something other than lust for her. And when he does, then he goes and does something that wipes out his good actions.
review 2: Som zmätená... na to, že dej týchto kníh nemá veľmi čo ponúknuť som si po jednotke tak nejak zvykla, to že príbeh nemá poriadnu zápletku a preto ani žiadne vyvrcholenie a len úbohé rozuzlenie by som tiež prekusla (aj keď to je vlastne to najdôležitejšie, ale aspoň sa tam nešuká na každej druhej strane ako v niektorých iných nemenovaných urbankách), ale ten koniec? Asi 10 minút som bola v tom, že mi chýbajú nejaké strany kým mi došlo že nie, nechýbajú... tak nejak som pochopila prečo mi ten koniec prišiel ako keby ste knihu uťali v dvoch tretinách. Ono je to tým, že keď nemáte poriadny dej, tak nejak čakáte, že aspoň na konci sa niečo stane... a potom zrazu prázdna strana :D No nič :) nevadí, idem si prečítať niečo lepšie :D hádam :D less
