review 1: I had never thought about fluorescent Day-Glo colors being invented! This is definitely a story that needed to be told. I especially loved the author's note at the end where he talked about family members he interviewed and letters, notes, and materials they shared with him to help write the story. The only thing missing was an illustrator's note! The illustrations started out in gray scale and then began to have hints of fluorescent colors as the story progressed. I loved the huge pop of Day-Glo on the page when the brothers first invented it! This was a Sibert Honor winner in 2010.
review 2: This book about the invention of Day-Glo colors really stands out. The pictures here really enhance the story, showing how the world went from traditional colors (which a

Particularly good non-fiction picture book, because the art totally makes it.

Liked how they put the history in it but still made it entertaining.
