review 1: The idea behind this post apocalyptic book is absolutely fantastic. This book in my opinion is one of the best post apocalyptic novel and should be read by anyone but especially fans of the genre. With a very rare number of dull moments this exquisite novel kept me at the edge of my "seat" and I wanted more from the moment it ended. I admittedly forgot about the sequel a year later but as i am writing this review i am extremely excited to read the sequel " The Rift".

... morelly long time, so who am I to judge? I still say the writing needs a lot of editing. So there.Interesting side-note: This is the second (and dang I can't remember(very much, actually) what the first one was) book I've read in just a couple of weeks that had a huge corporation as the big evil. In both cases the company grew corn; lots of it. In Rootless (and maybe the other book as well), that was all there was to eat. Monsanto was never mentioned by name, but... It's an interesting take on the apocalypse! less
