review 1: I got this book as either a free or severely discounted rate, and to be honest I didn't really expect to like it. It kind of looked like a sweet/slow romance, but I decided to give it a try because of the price, and I am so glad that I did. I really like Mira. I thought Sam was kind of a jerk at times and someone clueless as to how thoughtless he was being, but I liked watching the two of them grow close and their relationship grow. There were funny moments and sad moments.
review 2: I received this novel from the author, Christi Barth, in exchange for an honest review, and I enjoyed this novel. This is the second novel in the Aisle Bound series, and although I didn't read the first novel, I had no trouble keeping up with this book. This novel is about Mira Pa
... morerrish, Ivy's friend. Ivy was the main character in the first novel, Planning to Love. When Mira arrived to town, the guy who agreed to pick her up, Sam Lyons, never showed. This made Mira have to walk in the rain AND hate Sam's guts. As I got further into the novel, I did something I try to refrain from; I went and read other people's reviews on it. While these reviews did not reflect my opinion, I was shocked that Sam's relationship with his mother was an issue for people. I liked that he was worried about his mother. Although I enjoyed Sam's relationship with his mother, I wasn't a huge fan of Ivy…it seemed as if she always tried to make everything about her. Also, it took a while for Mira to grow on me as well. Overall, this was a good novel, it was a little hard for me to get into at first, but it ended up being a good read. less
