review 1: I love reading any book written by Ms. Bell. So far I have not disappointed in any of them. I have read all of her Dare me series. Rafe and Courtney are great together even though she was hiding from him during the wedding for Galen and Lacy. But of course she won't admit it. Good solid character development and story line. Again I like how characters from previous books brought into the mix. It is like a continuation of their happily ever after. I have found that any book written by Ms. Bell is worth the time and effort to read.
review 2: This was my first book by Christine Bell, and I really enjoyed it. It moves quickly, the dialogue is smart and natural, and there are none of the repetitive internal monologues that pass as plot development in so man... morey books. (Oops - mini rant.) I liked and understood both of the main characters and their motivations, enjoyed the smoldering sexual chemistry and the very hot love scenes, and laughed out loud on several occasions. The only drawbacks would be that I think Rafe is mislabelled as a dominant - he's a little bossy, but if you're looking for BDSM, you'd feel misled if you read this book. If you're looking for an alpha hero with none of the jerkiness that sometimes accompanies that title, this is a good selection. I also think the resolution is a little too perfect - they break up, then Rafe comes around and basically says everything anyone would want to hear from the person they love - and felt like it was from a less contemporary story, but apart from that, this was a great read and I'll definitely be looking up the rest of the books in this series. less
