review 1: really moving story, about the repercussions of war after it's over, all the small things that change in the way people see things, treat people; not happy endings but satisfying; especially like the way Graceful takes Cam's advice & encouragement to turn her situation around; some loose ends that, I suppose, leave room to explore in a sequel--e.g., what happened to the ones who left the village because they didn't 'fit' (Ban, Ellaner)
review 2: This was another one it took me a much longer time to get through then I thought it would. Initially I didn't want to read this title at all b/c I thought it was strictly a war title and wasn't up for the blood and gore. Then I realized it was more of an after the war title and it seemed like the focus would be the wh
... moreole town. After reading it I feel like the book was about the whole town (and beyond) in relation to Cam, but that was okay b/c I found Cam pretty interesting. This was a book all about people and I like seeing how people tick so it worked for me. I wish I had been able to read it more together b/c then I would have enjoyed it more. less

Well written. The characters are developed more fully than the story.
