review 1: Shane's POV was enlightening because he went through something entirely different during the last 2000 years. And even though he didn't recognize Grace initially as Selah, he felt something for her and knew they resembled each other. He never knew that her soul was still on earth because if he did, he would not have purposely tried to forget her once he possessed a body. The one thing about Shane that didn't deviate was his memory of Selah and how much he loved her with no regrets despite the harsh punishment he endured. He also fell in love with Grace, which seemed like another punishment when she didn't reciprocate. However, once he realizes the truth, convincing Grace to love him back still wasn't an easy task but it pushed him to being a better person. They used to sin... moreg and play music to each other a long time ago and they still do. Grace gave up a lot so she could find Shane. Shane made a sacrifice just to be with Grace. Thank goodness they finally have their own happy ending after waiting and being alone for so long.
review 2: The point of view from the male characters is suppose to let us, the reader to understand more about his background, the way he thinks and the action he takes. So, i kinda understand why he didn't tell Grace about his true identity because he was scared of the punishment that Grace will get. But really ? And Gabriel ? That piece of shit. See, don't say humans are weak to temptation, even angels can be ready. And shouldn't Michael and Raphael report to the God if they think the punishment to Shamsiel is unfair ? Oh, but they have to wait for freaking 2000 years to take action? Screw these kinds of friends. They kinda screwed Shamsiel and Selah life for 2000 years being apart from each other. less
