review 1: 4.5 stars, such a good wrap up! This book was so exciting and action packed. Probably 85% action... I just want Ella and Liam to get married already thoughhhhh!! I love Lila and Ruffian's father/daughter relationship too, though the plot line about his daughter was a little unresolved (I kind of liked that though). All in all very good series, it had everything a middle grade series should have:-)
review 2: Not since Trenton Lee Stewart’s Mysterious Benedict Society (and I guess J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter but those books are in a league of their own) has a series captivated me like Christopher Healy’s League of Princes. There’s just a level of maturity and sophistication in these books- and a whole lot of fun! I was impressed how he handled the action
... morescenes- or, more specifically, the consequences of the battles. Great for family read-alouds. less
