review 1: After reading, A Season of Tending #1, I couldn't wait to get into this book. It takes off running! Rhoda, Samuel, Jacob, Leah and others make the big move to Maine to a rundown house and orchard. Can they make it work? What about Jacob and his past? Will it continue to haunt him in Maine and can his and Rhoda's romance survive the strain? And really strange things begin happening with Rhoda, seeing her sister, Emma, and hearing voices...what do they mean? And a new elderly couple are introduced in this book and there is a mystery surrounding them, but...as with the first book, it's a cliff-hanger. Can't wait for Book 3, For Every Season, coming this Fall.
review 2: I really enjoyed this book and cannot wait to read book 3 in the series. The saga continues wit... moreh Rhoda (gardener, herbalist, intuitive Amish, unmarried girl) and the King brothers, Jacob and Samuel. Many surprises await as they move to Maine and settle in the new orchard and home with some members of their old community. Jacob has to finally face his past and deal with major issues. Will he include Rhoda in his problems? and will she still love him in spite of his past? Are their new issues Rhoda will face because of her gardening? You'll love this series as you also learn about starting a new Amish community. less
