review 1: There are too many feelings I can associate to this book that I've felt before, during and after I read it. If I can sum it all up to one word it would be overwhelming. Why? Simply because I somehow can relate to Jody. Her impulsive decisions, insensitive actions, dramatized emotions and her fan-obsessive attitude to Jackson are the main pre-cursor to the story. She is a very effective main protagonist really. I love how every character revolves around her. I love their interactions that are totally predictable yet still surprising especially Halley, her little sister at the end of the book. I would really wanna know what happened to Jackson and may shedding some light on Mac's pov would be wonderful.
review 2: Funny, cute, thrilling, relatable. Rockoholic was ... morea book I didn't have great expectations for. The only real reason I read it was because I was an obsessive band fangirl too and my friends always joke that a situation like this would most definitely happen to me. Little did I know that I would be spending hours at a time flipping these pages, telling everyone I knew about the plot. The characters were perfect, equally believable and loveable. The ending was not predictable, at least from my standpoint. One thing however that could throw you off a bit was the slang. The book was set in a little town in Western England, near whales, so if you're not familiar with british terms somethings can be a bit off putting. Other than that however the book was a nice quick read and I recommend it, especially for teenage girls who have at least one celebrity idol! less
