review 1: I am a little confused with this book. Don’t get me wrong all in all its a good book, but I feel like WHAT? First off the starting of the book is a little out in left field. Julia and Mike are having sex. Yes that is how you get introduced into the book. On top of that, Drayton walks in and watches. If your like me you kind of bypassed the whole “about me” part of the book on the back cover and just dove in. BIG MISTAKE! READ THE BACK COVER!!!!Now with that. I hated Julie. Full out couldn’t stand her. She would be one of those girls that in real life would make me want to slap her. No matter how ‘loyal’ you are to someone, there is no gray area with wrong is wrong. You’ve been dating a criminal. NOT only that but a criminal that has lied to you the WHOLE time... more you’ve been in said relationship. If that isn’t enough to knock sense into you, you get almost ran over, kidnapped, and tied up. AND YOU STILL DEFEND SAID GUY?? No! it doesn’t happen.Mike I loved. He is the perfect guy, sweet, loyal to a fault, understand, protective and great in bed. He has it all. I’m just glad Julie woke up and realized that. Or else not only would she have lost the “relationship” she had been in for 18 months but also BOTH men. Drayton walked away. He chose his life of crime over his life with Julie and Mike. There is no other way to look at it. He took the selfish way out, just like Mike said would happen.The book itself was written well though. The drama and the mystery surround Drayton and what he was into made you want to keep reading and plus the sex part wasn’t so bad either! ;)
review 2: Claire Kent did a wonderful job writing this mysterious love story! I have to say I love how refreshing the plot line is...the love triangle of Drayton, Mike, and Julia is a very unique idea, let me tell you the very first paragraph you will literally be addicted to this book! Julie has a tough job with both of these men Drayton is your dark handsome brooding man, wheras Mike is laid back romantic and loving. Now if I was Julia I would have just as tough of a time in the story as she did. The plot line flows very smoothly, and you just can't help but fall in love with all three characters! You feel Julia's angst as the story goes on and you can't help but feel sorry for the decisions she is being forced to make. This book is also full of twists and turns in the plot line that will have you up late into the night to see what the next chapter brings. Claire Kent did a wonderful job writing this book! It has a little bit of everything hot men, love triangle, and a little bit of mystery, all rolled into a refreshing book called 'Finished' Great Job Claire Kent! less
