review 1: Very much enjoyed this sexy novel. The blurb totally jolted me... And it didn't disappoint. I was very much into it from the first page all the way to the last. No skimming (a big sign that I really like a book)... Such an interesting story. I really loved the slow burn. Yes there was sex from the very beginning, an normally that would bother me, but this book was ABOUT sex... About two people who have sex all the time, as a business deal. So, it was part of the plot development, not overkill like it would be in another story. I loved how the two slowly fall for each other... So much subtlety and guessing games... It was torture, and that's how I like it. Great characters (although the whole Bald thing didn't really work for me) I really did enjoy their chemistry, and they... more had really great dialogue. Very entertaining. I didn't want this to end. It was a great ride. Sweet and romantic too. My only complaint was that there were some scenes that were skipped over that I would have liked to read... Like, the anticipation would build up in a particular scene, and then the chapter would end, and the next chapter would take place after the fact... She would briefly recount what went down and then move on... A little disappointing, but not enough to ruin it for me. There were plenty of other satisfying scenes to make up for it. A very good read, one i would recommend for any steamy romance reader.
review 2: Okay so I was looking forward to reading this after reading the synopsis...the story itself was good, but there were parts of the story that felt rushed. Here's an example...there is a a scene where Ander and Lori are talking or doing something the the next paragraph jumps to a few weeks later. It was confusing when the book did this...other than the that and things that an editor would fix the story was good. This story would have made a great series (which it technically is...) one where it can be fleshed out and given more time to fix the jumping of times within 2 paragraphs like it does on occasion.Would I recommend this? Maybe I definitely would tell a person to not read it if they asked because I did enjoy it overall...but I would also forwarn them about the time jumps and editing issues ahead of time. less
