review 1: I liked the message of this book, encouraging women to take more control over their careers and their time. Unfortunately, the book lacked substance and was very repetitive. It seemed as though half of the book was spent telling me about what I was going to learn later on if I kept reading, that kind of filler in a self-help book is really frustrating and a waste of time. I also thought that the scope of women this advice can apply to is rather narrow, applying best to mid- to upper-level career women with families.
review 2: This book--especially the first couple of chapters of it--makes one want to go out and conquer the world. It demonstrates why women are more important than ever in the corporate world, and because of their importance they can now take the
... morereins and dictate their own terms in establishing a work-life balance. Appealing as it is in theory, the reality may not measure up. After discussing it with a couple of professional women who scoffed at idea ("Do you actually believe that?"), I realized it would be better not to get too hopeful after reading this book. But it's definitely something to work towards. less

Not as interesting as I had hoped. But worth reading - from the library, don't buy it.
