review 1: Very good story. My favorite thing, the thing that makes this book unique among the many others, is the characters. Both Will and Jack were very mature, open, and communicative of their feelings, fears, pasts, and future desires. That meant that a lot of misunderstandings were avoided and this book didn't fall into the common cliches or plot threads. This is just a very happy, low angst book in general. It's about discovering yourself and your needs, physically for Jack, and emotionally for Will. The age gap and difference in experiences between the two just highlighted that and made them be what the other was lacking. It was beautiful how they came together. And it wasn't insta-love either, which made me happy. They did have to work at it a bit :)Overall, I liked... more this book a lot, and definitely recommend it.
review 2: What can I say. I love GFY stories. Will, a NY day trader is on a 6 month break and moves into a home in Scarsdale and employs Jack, a handyman to do some of the renovations. Will is gay, but Jack is a 44 year old widower, who Will thinks is straight. What follows is a great story about a man coming to terms with his sexuality, after having been married for 26 years and having 2 sons. less
