review 1: I decided to check this out at my local library since I've heard that it's one of the classic well known manga and overall I thought it was cute!I don't really read a lot of manga with pretty young protagonists like this, but I still thought it was good. The plot is straight forward and the art is well done, though overall it was more like a cute one time read rather than a series I want to continue to read and follow with the rest of the volumes.
review 2: With great characters and an interesting storyline, Cardcaptor Sakura is a classic magical girl manga. Sakura makes for a great main character and the supporting cast is just as interesting. CLAMP’s art is beautiful and fits the story very well. Dark Horse has done a wonderful job with the omnibus editi... moreon of this series. It includes color art from the original volumes and provides the ideal situation for collecting the entire series. In general, Cardcaptor Sakura is a great introductory series for older children or young teens who are new to manga. It has both a great story and gives the reader a good idea of what to expect from manga. It gets four out of five stars. less
