The Sky Inside
review 1: I read The Sky Inside awhile ago and liked it, but this book took some time to get into, almost the whole 1st half of the book. I think that it would be much better if read back to back with the 1st book, however it does still have a very slow start. My Mom liked the themes of value of the individual and sacrifice for others which run through this book, I agree but I think Dunkle does fantasy better than distopian. Still, if you read The Sky Inside read this too.
review 2: Sequel to the "Sky Inside" this Sci-fi series must be read in order or you will be totally lost. ... moreo get his parents out before they punished for his escape. Outside the dome is a totally foreign world to the the family and they lack the skills to survive. Martin goes for help after his mother collapse and can no longer stand. He later finds out that when she was genetically put together a chip was place in her brain to to prevent her model from leaving the suburbs. It becomes rather difficult for the reader to tell who is a bot and who is human. less

Used the word "p**sant". Very unusual for this author. Slight sexual allusions.
