review 1: I don't often write reviews, but the editing in this cute story is horribly bad! I would give this book 4 stars just for the author's work, but every couple of pages I find another mistake that makes me groan! Things like the main character is traveling alone to see someone and "we" arrive there. Several times the word on the page is spelled right, but is not the appropriate word, as in, "Nancy went out to great the customers". Oh well, I'll read the rest of the series and just have to explain to those around me that I'm not groaning from a physical ailment...or maybe the editing IS making my head hurt!
review 2: This is the first book in the Someday Quilts Mystery series. The story is set in Archers Rest, New York. The main character, Nell Fitzgerald, gets... more dumped and goes to visit her grandmother, Eleanor. Eleanor is the owner of Someday Quilts. Nell stays longer than planned when her grandmother gets injured and gets involved in solving a murder with the police chief,Jesse. The book was a fast and easy read with the pages just flying. Can't wait to read the next one. less
