review 1: I had really high expectations of this book, though I don't really remember why now that I've finished it. I knew this would be like the original Romeo and Juliet, but I thought it would be better because the whole Juliet is a vampire thing. It wasn't. Maybe I just didn't like this book because I hate Romeo and Juliet. I did not like any of the characters in the book and couldn't relate to them at all. The only thing I liked were the writing style - the book is very easy to read and can be finished in one sitting - and the happy ending. Definitely not a book I would recommend, except maybe to someone who loves Shakespeare and is a huge fan of Twilight. They would probably like it.
review 2: this was a great retelling of a classic tragic romance but i like the e
... morending more in this version of the play. Claudia Gabel was a geneious when writing this in the way she re-wrote the story and changed the way the events happened but still got the same great outcome. This version is also a lot easier to read as the lanauage is modern enough so you don't need a explanation on the side of each page. All in all this book was amazing and really well written. less
