review 1: I did not read the first book of this series—because I didn't know there WAS a first book, I basically just bought this at a store and I ended up loving it so much that I have read it more than once. All the way through. There are some things I rarely do, and rereading a book is one of them. I really enjoyed this book, honestly, but I don't like the thought of Bianca dying and becoming a ghost. Yes, I want more to this story and I've been up close with the other books in this series, but I can't bring myself to read them.I'm pretty odd that way. I do hope to read the whole series at some point in my life time though. I've had the book for a few years now, so I don't know when I'll get to read the others, but I will because this book was great.
review 2: Its f... moreunny to me how absolutely polarizing books like this can be. Folks, this is not the great American novel. This is young adult vampire fiction. Now, that being said and having just reviewed Evernight... I thoroughly enjoyed the progression of the story in Stargazer. I would like to learn more about other characters and have more interaction between some of the other friends/students, but the story doesn't lend itself to that. Without giving anything about the plot or storyline away (I don't want to ruin it for new readers)... It is mostly about Bianca and Lucas's "Romeo and Juliet" romance with some interesting portions of Balthazar thrown in. This one only gets slightly lower marks because I wasn't crazy about the ending. Based on the ending and a synopsis of book 3, here's where my participation in this series ends for a while. less
