review 1: While still an interesting book and keeping up the characters, I wasn't as much of a fan of this one as the previous ones. The most ridiculous part was them racing the hurricane up from Miami and making it to NY in record time. Yup, okay. But I did learn some interesting details on how lighthouses work - and having recently been on the eastern coast, I visited a couple light houses in the book. But that was the last 1/5 of the book.
review 2: The rating of 3 is a gift. The plot was barely plausible. The investigation in the middle of the book that would take months at some points in the book was completed in a couple of paragraphs. The bow wrapping at the end (that is, everything came out) was really silly. The Comintern like the Germans were a formidab
... morele force and really stirred up problems and a spy is everywhere. After reading the prior books, the plot seemed reasonable for Isaac Bell. Oops. Only the most devoted fans want to read this book. less

Fun summer read but the exploits Isaac Bell are becoming more and more unbelievable.

Rated this 3stars. I thought it was boring and I normally like this series.
