review 1: I enjoyed reading this book because I could relate to many of the events described in it. I too, am in middle school and enjoy making cupcakes. The main character, Mia, and her friends make cupcakes for a school competition. The title, Mia in the Mix, relates not only to Mia's baking abilities, but also her struggles to fit in with different groups of friends. It's a funny, entertaining book which I would recommend to girls of 6th and 7th grade.
review 2: This series reminds me so much of reading the Babysitter's club as a preteen. However, there are some differences since these girls are making a cupcake club. The idea is still the same. Good friends, a good time and learning to run a business on your own. This is a great series so far. I am enjoying it very m... moreuch, even if I am an adult reader. Give this series a read if you're looking for something quick as well. less
