review 1: first, decent art work, especially on full pages or any of the larger panels. however, that being said, the panels were a bit confusing at times and overloaded... dense maybe? this book was actually purchased for me, I had never heard of it but it keeps relating itself to Fables so I thought it might be worth a read. good god was I wrong. I got really bored towards the end and just finished it for the sake of finishing it, but there is so much dialogue in here that is ...just stupid. and there really is an annoying inconsistency with the use of thee, thou, and you. I'm pretty sure I'm done with this series.
review 2: This was a big ol' pile of fun! The plot follows Hamlet (moody as ever), Juliet (badass leader of THE rebellion), Othello (swoon!), and Falstaff (
... moreso friggin hilarious) as they go up against Richard III, Iago, and Lady Macbeth (all three shine in moments of pure EVIL). Both sides are on a quest to either save or destroy the elusive wizard/god Shakespeare.Oh boy, the graphics are super-saturated with great use of colour. The dialogue felt real to both Shakespeare and modern sensibilities. I need to reiterate how fantastic Falstaff is, and don't even get me started on all the puns that fly about! Also much love to the Canadian crew that produced this!Recommended read for Shakespeare/super-hero/graphic novel aficionados! less

An interesting perspective on some of the plays I have been studying in depth this semester.
