review 1: Hot Damn, 18 + read. Cooper McKenzie really knows how to get the blood flowing. Ok, Blaze is the female lead character :) She desires physical pain to try to help her mental pain, but she soon learns there are other ways to find what she needs :) Main male character steps in to tame her :) Grrrr, yum, hot fireman who enjoys BDSM :D God help us all :D Woot, you must read this book :D♥♥♥♥♥
review 2: There is no doubt that a reader can find just about any kind of kink that exists in romance fiction, and that BDSM stories highlight a wide variety of practices, all of which are perfectly normal, if you can use such a word about kink. This author has added to her very popular Club Esoterica series with this new novella about a woman who is seeking some kin... mored of release for the pressures and inner distress that goes way back to her abused childhood, one that she keeps under lock and key and seeks to sublimate with the more physically hurtful practices of BDSM. She has become so extreme in her participation in "scenes" that the owner of the club has given her an ultimatum: find a new Dom or you lose your club membership. Blaze is prepared for just about anything except what Firefighter Andy Zimmerman brings to their association: warmth, caring, gentleness, exploration of her innate sensuality--none of which is gained through the use of whips and chains. In fact, Andy doesn't even know how to use a flogger or a single-tail whip. It is a journey of discovery for Blaze into who she really is and how she can find that measure of inner peace that has always eluded her. For Andy, it is finding a woman who really needs him, who is his sensual equal, and one who blossoms under his gentle but dominating style. It is a delightful novella and one that Ms McKenzie's fans will enjoy. It is also a continuation of a series that many have come to enjoy and will be happy to see added to with this story. Certainly not your hardcore BDSM, but is insightful as to the power to be found in gentleness and authentic caring. A terrific book. less
