review 1: I'm struggling whether to rate this a 4 or a 5. It started off just ok. A few things bothered me. Especially Ramona. Her personality annoyed me and how she always called her son "little man". But as I kept reading I became engrossed. It kept getting better and better. I love the take on the children being vampires - and not in a cheesy lame way. I loved the cause and effect. People being kidnapped, blood farms, prostitution and people murdering each other to keep their children alive.
review 2: I thought the parents were dumb and to read chapter after chapter of them making those stupid and ridiculous choices is a bit exhausting. I didn't care much for the story, I'm sure the author aimed to write something different about an otherwise overrated vampire-horror
... moregenre but I thought he failed in the actual execution of it. Maybe I didn't like the fact that there were too few characters and none of them were engaging in the least, or the fact that nothing happens much (a plethora of "where and how to get blood, the end"). They say "less is more", but in this case, I wanted "more, more" less

Liked the concept but, left me with a lot of unanswered questions.
