review 1: This book is not for everyone. It's fairly academic, and it's (obviously) extremely pro-love. Nehring uses examples from literature and from the lives of writers to argue for passionate, transgressive love as a vital part of our lives. As someone who recently ended a five-year relationship and started a new one, I found particular relevance in this book, and I would even call it inspiring, even though I disagreed with some of its points.
