review 1: Well, another great paranormal romance read! I really did enjoy this novel, including its plot and complimentary characters! It was entertaining to say the least. Elle and Aiden had a complicatedly strong attraction right from the door (I mean, seriously, who wouldn't with this guy) and it grew throughout the remainder of the novel. I did love how protective he was with her (not in an obsessively bad way). The only drawback to the story was the quickness in which Elle and Anya were turned (into vampires that is). Now, I knew Elle needed it ASAP, but I felt like both women turning happened too close together. It didn't kill the story, but it bothered me a tad. After the women were turned, Aiden selfishly left Elle before she awakened from her transition (ugh, he annoyed me ... morehere) and during this, he's kidnapped by his old, bitchy mate, etc. There's a good amount of action to be had, along with suspense, and to top it off... a happy ending... what more could a gal want?
review 2: Painful. Just painful. The plot was incoherent and a bit pointless. Characterisation (of everyone) was as shallow as a kiddie pool. Prose was terrible. Dialogue stilted. I stopped no fewer than 3 times to wonder why I was reading this drivel. I'm actually astounded that a book could be this bad. It's not the worst thing I've ever read. But all that shows is how many pieces of abysmal literature are floating around out there. less

This actually wasn't bad but wasn't great either. It needed a bit of editing but I really liked it.
