review 1: Every series has an entry that is a letdown. For me, this is the book. The focus is divided in several areas across and away from Lyssia without the characters having contact with one another and with me not fully knowing why they are where they are. The protagonist is removed from the major action. Wait, what major action? That is a good question. This book seems to stumble through a barely-there plot as it hopes to get to more exciting things, maybe in book 4 or 5. In short, book 3 seems like a bridge to something else that character must cross. Sure, some characters die (or seem to die), but since most of those are fairly minor, I did not care very much. I hope the series finds its way again because I really liked books 1 and 2.

... moree it but as a woman all the fight scenes got a bit much. when i first started this series i thought it would be a supernatural with a bit of romance novel like some of the other books i have read but it seems to have become more gruesome and less romance as the books have gone on. so, still want to see where the story ends up and will read the next one, but not really taken the path i expected. less

It was good. Drew is a gladiator in Scorpia and he finds out about what else the Catlords have done.
