review 1: I went into this book thinking it wasn't my type of story. I am more of a horror/supernatural type. Boy was I in shock when I found it hard to put the book down. I easily envisioned this story as it unfolded. I was rooting for Drew from the moment I met him. he had it tough throughout the book and I think I believed in him even when he didn't believe in himself. the last few chapters.. I am not even sure I was breathing as I read. I look forward to the rest of this series and I look forward to seeing a future wolf king.
review 2: Conceptually, it is pretty interesting having these half-human, half-animals lording over regular humans and the various traits of each Were-kingdom... but as far as plots and characters go, I think the side-characters were loads more
... moreinteresting that the three protagonists. They're just so flat and stereotypical; I like the antagonist King Leopold much better. Not to mention, how many times can a character get knocked unconscious in a book? Any time Jobling wants to advance the plot, just conk Drew over the head! Not sure I'll read the second any time soon. less

Very sad how badly treated most of the characters are. I can't wait to read the next one.
